Meatless March

Over the past 2 1/2 weeks Eco club has been participating in a school wide Meatless March. Organized by a fellow Whitney Younger Erin P. We asked students to pledge at least one day a week to not eat meat; and currently we have over 30 pledges.

Eco Jaunt: Learn Teach Grow

Eco Jaunt is a year long project, created by a man named Travis and a woman named Swix, documenting what people around the United States are doing to be sustainable and how an average person can be to.  The Eco Jaunt team( of the 2), is currently driving around the country with a particular mission;

“To take our cameras and explore and learn sustainable tactics being implemented throughout the country and create fun, inspirational, and educational how-to style videos and interviews.”

Eco Jaunt also created DVDs that they give to the school and communities they visit to help “plant the seeds of sustainability early”. Their blog is a place where anyone and everyone can go and check out all their videos, interviews, explore, and learn about what Eco Jaunt and others are doing; as well as tell people what they have achieved, accomplished, and want to get done.

And If your not hooked just by what they’re doing, the introduction video’s rap will surely do the trick. To learn more about Eco Jaunt, visit http://ecojaunt.blogspot.com/

Eco Jaunt is going to be visiting the WY Eco Club next Tuesday, the 11th; so stay tuned to see your members’ interviews.
